Who the hell do I think I am?

No one, really. Just a craft beer lover. Also a freelance writer and journalist who was lucky enough to score a regular beer column.

But it’s not about me. It’s about the beer.

Except now I’ve been told I need to establish a media platform, whatever the hell that means.

Here goes: Biweekly beer columnist and weekly humorous parenting columnist for Mountain Xpress Newsweekly; regular Brews News radio talk show host on Local Edge Radio 880 am; frequent contributor to CraftBeer.com; freelance journalist and photojournalist published in a variety of media outlets; speaker and conference presenter (Beer Bloggers Con 2010 & 2011, NC Writers Network Con, Social Media School 2010, Type-A-Mom Con 2009, and more). Check out my YouTube channel for some beery vids.

I’ve also developed and am teaching a Beer 101 Education Class for restaurant/bar managers and servers. I’m teaching monthly for the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association and the Asheville Brewers Alliance, but I’m also available to teach in individual restaurants according to your needs.
